What it covers

The Leadership Inquiry moves through three distinct areas, each going deeper. It also includes a values sort — where you place values into categories — which is cross-referenced with what you say you want, to surface where alignment and tension live.

M
Leadership in the mind
The internal model of leadership you carry — the beliefs, the formative figures, the ideal you are measuring yourself against.
V
Values and desires
What actually drives you — and where what you say you value diverges from what you want for yourself.
B
Behaviour and shadow
The patterns in how you lead — including what you do that does not serve those you lead, and what you are most reluctant to examine.
VS
Values sort
A structured sorting of values into core, important, and not-really-me — cross-referenced with your desire responses to find where the real tension lives.
Theoretical background

What it is built on

Primary framework
Systems Psychodynamics
The conviction that leadership is a relational and systemic phenomenon — not a set of attributes a person possesses. The Inquiry surfaces the relational field the leader inhabits, not just how they perform within it.
Secondary framework
Transactional Analysis
Ego state thinking applied to leadership identity — which part of the self arrived in the room, which part is running the role, and which part has been set aside.
Shadow work
Jungian orientation
The final questions in the Inquiry — on the shadow of leadership, on what is most reluctant to be examined — draw on Jungian shadow theory as applied to organisational life.
Report generation
AI interpretation
The report is generated by AI from your specific responses. It names tensions, cross-references values with desire, and produces questions that feel written for you — not generic leadership questions.
